Gretel & Tuck’s Australian Labradoodle Puppies - One Guardian Puppy Available!

Adoption Day!

Scheduled for February 24th, adoption days were instead spread around due to varying schedules and special requests. Families were great about understanding that extra days with Ever After not only meant room and board, but round the clock training for puppies with the staff at Ever After. So since our schedules allowed flexibility, it was a pleasure helping to accommodate each family. Caspar and Star are still in-training, but Little B and Mel are snuggled in the arms of their new family members. Extra news of interest - below we included Caspar/Selleck’s picture from the litter evaluations at 8 weeks old. Selleck’s stacked position showed a beautifully built boy that Ever After decided must be kept as a new stud boy for the program. If interested, Selleck is available to a qualified guardian family. Keep a look out for Selleck’s puppies in the future! Thank you, dear families of Montana, Washington, and California for choosing Ever After puppies!

Weeks 7 & 8

Visitation week is always just as much fun for Ever After as it is for the puppies. Our world may feel upside down sometimes, but meeting with folks to simply play with puppies sure brings back the simple pleasures of life that we all need from time to time. Thank you to all of the families that helped socialize the puppies this week! Mini-grooms between professional groomings for paw pads, nails, eyes, ears, private areas, and baths may be a new reality for you. We give the puppies mini-grooms as needed on a regular basis. Also, be prepared to keep your Australian Labradoodle brushed/combed to prevent painful matting - at least once a week. Check out our RESOURCES page for supply ideas and helpful videos before these precious pups go home.

Weeks 5 & 6

Well, are they not the cutest little Valentines ever! Star is lucky to have three protective big brothers, as she remains much smaller than the others. Nonetheless, she keeps up with everyone in their new digs with two outdoor play areas: one fenced courtyard under the deck that’s safe from birds of prey, and a second area in the open big yard when Ever After is able to closely monitor the little ones. Their new inside area has plenty of room to romp, and a separate bedroom area for Snuggle and Crate Time. Check out our Training Video on Instagram for closeup shots of the puppy areas being fully utilized.

Weeks 3 & 4

It is so amazing how fast the puppies change! Their little noses are filling in, their legs are starting to cooperate, their teeth are popping through, they’re mastering miniature barks, they’re trying porridge and water, they’re wrestling with each other, and they’re enjoying the variety of chew toys provided. Although nothing compares to Mother’s milk, warm porridge is fine; but the toughest part of the introduction is staying steady at the dish. There are accidental nose dives, unintentional leg splits, and many a paw in the porridge. One thing for sure, it is unanimous amongst puppies that porridge always tastes better on the face of a sibling.

Weeks 1 & 2

Holiday litters are a delight for our family. Everyone is around to witness the joy of new life - adorable little bodies beneath the tree! As a tribute to the Christmas story, we named Gretel’s four after the wisemen. But with Gretel’s token girl being the last to join the world, the star happened to follow the wisemen instead of visa versa this time. Week two was a celebration of eyes opening and puppies balancing on all fours. Both eyes and legs will develop more as the weeks progress. We included the birth weights of the puppies. These little miracles start out so incredibly tiny! Don’t forget to visit Ever After’s Instagram/Facebook for more pictures and videos!

Happy Birthday!

Gretel’s water broke just after Millie delivered her first puppy. With two litters on the way, our family was hopping! Thankfully, Gretel waited several hours (12.23.23 AM) after Millie finished whelping her family before Gretel gave birth to her own. Everything went like clockwork as Gretel delivered four healthy, chocolate and apricot-parti puppies with ease. Her milk came in a bit faster than her four sweeties were able to keep up with, but Millie’s five “scooted” in to help empty the milk faucets for Aunt Gretel. Two mass feedings and Gretel was ready to go solo.

Gretel & Tuck

Why repeat this pairing? Last litter, Gretel and Tuck produced such quality puppies for temperament and structure that we were excited to pair them again. You should have seen their faces when they got to go on a second honeymoon! How many babies do you see in the X-ray?
