Bella & Mozley’s Australian Labradoodle 12.1.25 Uno Litter- Reserved
Bella & Mozley’s Uno Litter - Week 3
Uno is quite adaptable for being an only child. Thus far, he’s cool as a cucumber in new situations. We brought in a Snuggle Puppy with beating heart for him. We named his buddy, Dos;) Bella simply puts up with our goofy antics. Uno’s wobbling around on all fours now and couldn’t be cuter doing it. He’s perfect.
Bella & Mozley’s Uno Litter - Week 2
Uno’s eyes opened! Could he get more handsome! Our little chub-a-dub is winning the hearts of the Ever After family as he scoots (rolls) around the whelping box. He and Mommy make such a tender pair. Bella clearly sees Uno as her everything. She’s all healed from her C-section too:)
Bella & Mozley’s Uno Litter - Week 1
Uno has adorable coloring with a tri coat of chocolate, white, and tan. With no competition at the milk bar, it is no surprise that Uno is gaining/growing well. When he gets bigger and can hold his own, Ever After will have him do playdates with Gia’s litter two weeks Uno’s senior. Socially, it will be good for him. Both moms, Gia and Bella, are great with each other; so we’re pretty certain that the partnership will be a success.
Happy birthday, Uno!
This was a first for Ever After Labradoodles. With Bella expecting a singleton, the vet recommended a C-section. The major question is: Will a singleton release enough cortisol to initiate natural labor before the puppy’s placenta fails? Popular opinion says that C-sections are the safest way to deliver singletons who have gone past their due date - for the safety of both mom and puppy. It is especially recommended for first-time moms. After surgery, Bella allowed Uno to nurse but remained indifferent toward him. We stayed by Bella while she nursed then put Uno in an incubator to give mom complete rest while we waited for her bonding instincts to kick in. Being she didn’t have a live birth experience in which to connect with Uno, it took her 17 hours before everything seemed to click. Boy was that a fun moment - thus the many pictures! Her motherly instincts came on like gang busters. Thankfully, a couple of Gia’s two-week-old puppies were able to clear clogged milk ducts that Uno couldn’t quite empty on his own. However, after the first round of help, Bella and Uno have been doing just fine. Bella wraps herself around Uno to keep him warm. Sometimes her circle is so tight that you can’t even see Uno. The whole thing is super precious.
