Mabel & Mozley April 5, 2026 Easter Litter of Australian Labradoodles
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Easter Litter - Week 6
Visitation week was so much fun. We always appreciate families willing to travel to our location for puppy socialization and bonding with the litter. Ever After was pleased to see the puppies greet the strangers as friends - our devotion to training the fur balls is paying off. Outdoor play, doggy-door-potty time, bite inhibition training, crate training, and snuggle-buggle time were the primary focuses this week. Noise desensitization came naturally with neighbor dogs barking, lawns being mowed, and thunder booming around the puppy spaces. All the while, the litter remained quiet and docile in nature. What an easy bunch!

Yelps can be heard now as gnawing on each other takes a different form while the teeth start to erupt. Consequently, bite inhibition training is naturally happening as the puppies experience the limits of their grips on one another. In addition, Ever After moved them to the larger play area in the basement where they also have two outdoor yards to play and frolic. Not a single accident inside yet (knock on wood)! The entire group adapted immediately to preferring outside potty versus indoor litter trays (and indoor floors). What a smart litter! We’ve also begun crate training with two open kennels during nap times. The darlings love the donut beds placed in the wire kennels. Aren’t they beautiful!
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Easter Litter - Week 4
This is where things pick up speed. Puppies are active now. With that extra energy of skips, hops, and trots comes the extension to the whelping box for more space to play. Toys of all kinds of textures, sizes, and noise-making abilities fill the area. Still, wrestling with each other is the puppies’ favorite pastime. What amazing porridge eaters we have too! Mabel appreciated the help in supplementing her growing babies. Ever After has started their round-the-clock socialization schedule as well. If the puppies are awake, we are with them loving and training away each 1-2 hours until the next nap.
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Easter Litter - Week 3
Not only are the puppies’ eyes brighter, but the ears are starting to open now. With that, it’s important to gently introduce different sounds for more real-world desensitization steps. We started off picture-time thinking this advanced little group could sit for their photos - clearly not. These tired little sweeties barely stayed awake for a lounging picture. Working around big yawns and droopy eyes made the photo session more like an aerobic workout for two of us at Ever After Labradoodles. We decided not to push it any further with Evangeline - ha! Nonetheless, the six were absolutely adorable throughout. Although more time was spent sleeping than anything else this week, they are starting to walk around with wobbly legs, experimenting with their puppy sounds, and beginning to gnaw on each other. A few toys were added to the whelping box for added chew toys and obstacles to climb over. With the nose colors more obvious now, the two white boys are officially caramel parti colored with liver noses; and the two white girls are apricot parti colored with black noses. They’re all beautiful!
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Easter Litter - Week 2
Exciting week - fur is getting fluffier, noses are filling in, and EYES ARE OPENING! Not yet in focus, the eyes will continue to develop over the next few weeks. These Easter kiddos are getting extra car-riding practice too. Since the Ever After family just put our home on the market (preparing to move back to the Seattle area), we get to occasionally pack up the family and go on field trips in the truck while the house is being shown. Mabel monitors the incubator between nursing and snuggling sessions. Surprisingly, it’s actually a lovely time for all. In addition, the puppies got extra social time this week from Mozley’s mom. She visits all of Mozley’s offspring and helps the pups master relaxing on their backs and being touched all over. Calm puppies are all about gentle desensitization. We love our volunteers who help train the puppies for forever families!
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Easter Litter - Week 1
With their special birthday (our third litter to be born Easter day), Ever After had fun choosing spring/holiday names for the puppies. It’s another variety pack for us with a mix of miniature and medium sizes (more than likely) and colors of apricot parti, caramel parti, chocolate parti, and a tri-black parti. For extra clarity, the girls are wearing the pink, yellow and lilac ribbons. The puppies’ birth weights are listed. As you might imagine, Mabel definitely announced Eggert’s arrival - big boy! Week 1 is a time of making sure puppies consistently gain, and mother adjusts well during her recovery. Mabel is a joy to have in our home - and as a mother she is a natural. Aren’t they precious!
Mabel & Mozley 4.5.26 Birthday
Early Easter morning Mabel whelped six strong, healthy puppies (3G, 3B). For her first litter, she made it look “easy peasy” as she relaxed between pups:) The fun variety pack varies in size and color. Did you know puppies are all delivered with individual sacs and placentas?
